BETHESDA, Md. - The Allpoint network, which offers 32,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide, has signed the $4 billion Amalgamated Bank of New York.
While a majority of Amalgamated customers live and work in the New York City metro region, Amalgamated also has branches in Washington, D.C., Lyndhurst, N.J., and Southern California.
In the New York City area, Allpoint provides more than 2,000 surcharge-free ATMs located at retailers such as Duane Reade, Pathmark, and A&P. Allpoint provides more than 900 surcharge-free ATMs in the Washington, D.C. area, and more than 1,300 in Southern California.
Amalgamated Bank is one of a dozen new Allpoint members. Other new members include the $1.4 billion State Employees of Maryland Federal Credit Union and $1.1 billion 1st Mariner Bank, both located in Maryland, as well as financial institutions in New Jersey, Washington, D.C., Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas and Arizona.
Allpoint's network partners include Cardtronics, NetBank Payment Systems and Fiserv CNS/EFT.
