Dolphin Debit inks ATM management agreements with Southeastern CUs

September 19, 2017

Five credit unions in the Southeast now have transferred management of their ATMs to Dolphin Debit, a full-service ATM management company.

The CUs range in size from approximately $72 million–$117 million in assets; three participate in the CUliance ATM Cinch program powered by Dolphin Debit, the company said in a press release.

The credit unions are:

  • Emerald Credit Association Federal Credit Union, based in Greenwood, South Carolina, with 1,312 members and assets of $6.6 million.
  • Ferguson Federal Credit Union based in Monticello, Mississippi, with 6,397 members and $71.8 million in assets.
  • GEMC Federal Credit Union, based in Tucker, Georgia, with 12,697 members and $116.8 million in assets.
  • Genuine Parts Credit Union, based in Norcross, Georgia, with 1,109 members and assets of $9.4 million.
  • PWC Employees Credit Union, based in Woodbridge, Virginia, with 7,102 members and $56.6 million in assets.

Ferguson FCU has worked with Dolphin Debit since 2014 when the institution launched its first ATM. Since then, the fleet has grown to six ATMs, driven by expansion and member demand.

Ferguson CEO Leslie Pitts said that an outsourced ATM model has served the credit union well.

"We still feel that this task can and should be handled by an outside provider, which allows us to focus on the member relationship rather than on equipment," she said.

"Often, it is the smaller credit unions that rely most heavily on their ATMs as a way to enhance their service to members 24 hours a day," Dolphin Debit co-founder Gary Walston said in the release. "By turning management of those ATMs over to us … they can achieve those service levels without having to invest in ATMs themselves or devote staff time to maintain and manage them."
