Digital Check Corp., a provider of check scanners for remote deposit, branch back counter, and teller window capture, has introduced the TellerScan TS240-150, a reengineered version of its flagship TS240 scanner. With a rated speed of up to 150 documents per minute, the new model represents a 50 percent increase over previous TellerScan maximum throughput speed of 100 DPM.
"The performance gain makes the TS240-150 a much more versatile scanner suited for both traditional and higher-volume capture environments," said Rick Ooten, director of product management at Digital Check.
"By increasing the performance at the high end, we've produced a device that's increasingly viable for high-volume bank branch capture and commercial uses," he said. "It's also allowed us to keep all the same features that our customers enjoy in the remote deposit and teller capture environments."
Targeted improvements allow the TS240-150 to move more paper while retaining the same design and chassis of the existing TellerScan 240 family. The 150 DPM version also retains compatibility with previous models in the TS240 line, and will run on all recent versions of the Digital Check API.
