Different kind of green coming to former bank ATM site

The Daily Pennsylvanian: The University of Pennsylvania is demolishing a PNC Bank ATM kiosk -- which closed in February when PNC chose not to renew its lease -- and creating a "little urban park" at the site, according to Penn Facilities spokesman Tony Sorrentino. The greenery, including flowers, will help to beautify the area. The university never planned to install another set of ATMs at the location, instead looking to improve the aesthetic qualities of the block, which currently is mostly composed of concrete and brick. The machines that previously occupied the kiosk were moved into a nearby CVS drugstore.
