May 11, 2004

MUMBAI, India - Diebold Systems Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Diebold Incorporated, has secured a contract for the supply of 600 ATMs and auxiliary services to UTI Bank, one of India's leading private banks.

According to a report on Sify Finance, the order includes turnkey auxiliary services such as site preparation, ATM-managed services and ATM upgrades on a contract basis.

Diebold will provide remote electronic journaling and content distribution for the bank's current and new ATMs. The electronic journal solution will provide daily uploads of data to the central server online.

It is Diebold's third consecutive order from UTI Bank. Diebold ATMs now comprise 85 per cent of the 1,250 ATMs owned by the bank.

'Our extensive experience in self-service financial transactions, managed services and software solutions -- backed by proven expertise in networking and banking systems -- helped us to secure this order,' said Diebold Systems Managing Director Rajiv Singh.
