Baloise Group, one of Switzerland's largest insurance companies, has selected Diebold Inc. to replace 40 of its Baloise Bank SoBa AG ATMs, both companies recently announced.
Diebold will deploy Opteva 562 and 522 model ATMs. The Opteva 562 is a through-the-wall cash dispenser and the 522 is a lobby cash dispenser.
The bank also selected the Opteva 760 and 720 advanced-function ATMs, which are equipped with enhanced note acceptor, enabling cash deposit functionality. The 760 is a through-the-wall machine, and the 720 is for deployment in the lobby.
The enhanced note acceptor enabled customers to deposit up to 50 mixed-denomination notes in an envelope-free transaction. All of the ATMs will be equipped with three layers of ATM security, including strategically designed bezel. Bezel provides skimming detection and anti-skimming technology. The ATMs will run on Diebold's Agilis software.
"We were very delighted with the commitment of the involved Diebold employees. We feel perfectly supported," said Claudio Theus, chief information officer for Baloise Bank SoBa AG, which is based in Basel. "The security solutions featured in Diebold Opteva ATMs played an important role in our choice."
Diebold, which is based in North Canton, Ohio, is the world's third-largest ATM manufacturer based on annual shipments.
As a global technology leader and innovative services provider, Diebold Nixdorf delivers the solutions that enable financial institutions to improve efficiencies, protect assets and better serve consumers.
