Planet Cash, owner and operator of Poland's second largest retail ATM network, has teamed with Diebold Inc. to expand its ATM footprint and deploy new software that will support future innovations across the network.
According to a press release, ITCard will expand its existing 4,000-ATM estate with the purchase of additional units.
As with other Planet Cash machines, the new devices will incorporate biometric finger vein readers. Diebold will deliver break-fix and preventive maintenance services for all of its ATMs.
Diebold also will provide multivendor software for nearly 1,000 ATMs in the network. This will allow for the quick and seamless future integration of technologies such as cash recycling capabilities and near field communication solutions, the release said.
"As we continue to expand our fleet, we're extending greater convenience and security to our customers," ITCard CEO Jaroslaw Chrzanowski said in the release. "Leveraging Diebold's best-in-class software and services allows us to give our customers the ability to make more secure and convenient transactions at the ATM and quickly incorporate additional features into the fleet that are under consideration for the future.
As a global technology leader and innovative services provider, Diebold Nixdorf delivers the solutions that enable financial institutions to improve efficiencies, protect assets and better serve consumers.
