ATLANTA -- ATM services were spotlighted in the Dieboldbooth earlier this week at BAI's Retail Delivery Conference & Expo.
"Today's financial institutions are faced with changes in the ATM environment due to regulations, along with the need for new types of transaction sets at the ATM," said Robert Reho, Diebold's vice president of Managed Services and Outsourcing Solutions, in a company news release. "By using or selecting Diebold to run all or part of their business, financial institutions can leverage our expertise, economies of scale and access to resources to achieve their strategic goals."
Among the new services were:
Diebold Transaction ServicesSM (DTS) - An ASP service that drives ATMs and handles transaction processing and settlement, relieving financial institutions of the responsibility of owning and operating their own back-end infrastructure. DTS can drive the standard transaction set most institutions are familiar with or create new transactions, according to the release.
DTS' transaction processing software can be used to drive both Diebold and non-Diebold ATMs. It also supports multiple connectivity options, screen customization and branding and advanced ATM functions, such as audio and color touchscreens. DTS provides real-time access to transaction and terminal information through a Web browser client interface.
Diebold Advisor® - An ATM monitoring and escalation service that receives, analyzes and responds to status messages sent by an ATM. When an ATM experiences a problem, Diebold Advisor takes action based upon predefined escalation procedures and continues to track the call until the ATM is back in service. Diebold Advisor can be packaged with DTS hosting services or is available as a stand-alone service, according to the release.
ATM Cash Management - A cash management service that optimizes cash usage across the ATM network. Diebold tracks, logs and analyzes cash movement and uses this data to forecast cash demands, providing tighter control of cash handler costs and reducing expensive out-of-cash occurrences. With customizable notification and alert capabilities, customers can retain control of cash ordering or orders can automatically be e-mailed to cash handlers.
As a global technology leader and innovative services provider, Diebold Nixdorf delivers the solutions that enable financial institutions to improve efficiencies, protect assets and better serve consumers.
