Diebold sells MedSelect, SupplySource Plus assets

NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) has finalized the sale of the assets of its MedSelect and SupplySource Plus product lines to Medecorx, Inc. The agreement also includes a multi-million dollar maintenance outsourcing agreement for Diebold, covering automated dispensing machines (ADMs) for drugs and medical supplies.
According to a Diebold news release, more than 100 facilities have installed more than 4,500 units of MedSelect equipment which uses an automated dispensing system to distribute pharmaceuticals and medical supplies in health care facilities.
Medecorx, Inc. is a private, closely held health care corporation based in Atlanta, with offices in Cranberry Township, Pa., and Dallas.
