Diebold, Progress Systems collaborate on CU-specific software for self-service banking

Diebold Nixdorf and Progress Systems, a supplier of software solutions to credit unions in Ireland and the U.K., have partnered to provide comprehensive self-service solutions to credit union customers across Ireland.

Working together, the companies have developed credit union-specific software that allows customers to withdraw or deposit cash quickly and easily at self-service systems. The solution allows customers depositing cash to specify which accounts should be credited, a press release said.

The multifunction self-service cash recycling solutions will enable "always on" service for customers while ensuring cost-efficient cash management. Diebold Nixdorf will deliver the new services through Progress Systems.

"Traditionally customers have had to wait at the counter to complete these transactions, but now they can quickly and conveniently deposit and withdraw cash in-branch using self-service systems," Progress Systems CEO Tom Owens said in the release. "This will greatly enhance the user experience and ensure that customers are getting the services they want."
