Diebold Nixdorf unveils new logos, website

Almost 16 months after a deal was first rumored, Diebold Inc. on Monday announced the finalization of its acquisition of its onetime competitor Wincor Nixdorf AG.

The combined companies lost no time in rechristening their integrated enterprise.

A press release Tuesday unveiled a pair of logos and a website bearing a new moniker that incorporates the names of the two original companies' German-born founders, Charles Diebold and Heinz Nixdorf. 

The Diebold Nixdorf word mark (above right) will serve as the new company's primary logo.

Diebold Nixdorf also introduced a more compact secondary logo (left). According to the press release, this letter mark will represent the company in various digital properties and mobile applications, "which are becoming increasingly vital in connected commerce," the company observed.

In fact, the term "connected commerce" is a dominant and oft-recurring theme on the company's new website, dieboldnixdorf.com

The newly introduced entity also released a statement from CEO Andy W. Mattes on the completed combination:
