Diebold Nixdorf appoints execs to lead software R&D

Diebold Nixdorf has named two executives to lead software and solutions R&D.

Ashvin Mathew has joined Diebold Nixdorf as vice president and chief technology officer for software. He will be responsible for leading the company's strategic development of cloud-based solutions and software-as-a-service offerings.

Mathew previously was at Microsoft Corp., where he spent most of his 20-plus year career in cloud and enterprise-level software development. Most recently, he served as a general manager in the business solutions and dynamics product group within the Microsoft cloud and enterprise division

Reinhard Rabenstein will serve Diebold Nixdorf as senior vice president and chief technology officer for solutions. He will be responsible for integrating and consolidating the company's technology roadmap. Rabenstein has worked with Wincor Nixdorf and its predecessor companies for more than 30 years, primarily in retail banking, most recently serving as chief technology officer for Wincor Nixdorf. Rabenstein also currently serves as managing director of AEVI, a payments technology subsidiary of Diebold Nixdorf.

Both Mathew and Rabenstein will report to Diebold Nixdorf CEO Andy W. Mattes and their respective line of business leaders for software and systems.
