Diebold Nixdorf Inc. has announced three appointments to its senior leadership team.
According to a company press release, Jeffrey Rutherford, who recently joined the company as interim chief financial officer, will now fill that position on a permanent basis. In addition, Julian Sparkes has joined the company as senior vice president and chief digital officer, and Hermann Wimmer has joined the company as senior vice president of global retail.
Rutherford, named interim chief financial officer Oct. 1, joined the company from Edgewater Technology, a consulting firm, and previously held CFO positions at companies that included Ferro Corp., Park-Ohio Holdings Corp., UAP Holding, Lesco and Office Max.
Sparkes brings more than 35 years of digital transformation and IT outsourcing experience to Diebold Nixdorf, along with a decade or experience in senior leadership. He comes to the company from PRGX Global Inc., a provider of big data analytics, and previously worked at IBM and Accenture. At Diebold Nixdorf, he will be responsible for simplifying, streamlining and further digitizing IT infrastructure to enhance customer and employee experiences.
Wimmer comes to Diebold Nixdorf from ForgeRock, a digital identity and access management company, where he served as chief revenue officer. He has spent more than 20 years in leadership roles in the IT and data analytics industries, mostly at NCR Corp. and Teradata Corp. Wimmer will be responsible for Diebold Nixdorf retail strategy and operations, including business development, customer relationship management and global sales.
