NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- Diebold, Incorporated has named Henrik Funch its new division vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Based in London, Funch will report to Michael J. Hillock, president of International Operations, and will be responsible for directing, administering and coordinating all aspects of EMEA operations. He replaces Reinoud G. J. Drenth, who recently left the company.
In a news release, Hillock lauded Funch's "extensive experience in sales, marketing, consulting and management."
A native of Denmark, Funch has lived in Sweden and Germany, as well as the UK. During more than 20 years in the information technology industry, he has worked for IBM, Accenture and General Electric. For the past two years, he was senior vice president for Tech Data, where he was responsible for more than 1,400 employees in 16 different European countries.
