NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Corporate officers at Diebold Inc.have been named defendants in a class action lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
According to a news release, the suit alleges violations of U.S. securities laws and that the company was unable to assure the quality and working order of its voting-machine products.
The plaintiffs are seeking unspecified damages.
In a statement released to investors, Diebold states that "the allegations in the lawsuit are without merit," and that the company "intends to vigorously defend itself against all allegations."
