Diebold HMA gets India's largest ATM order

CHENNAI, India -- Diebold HMA Private Limited, a joint venture between HMA Data Systems andDiebold, Incorporated, has obtained the largest single order for ATMs in India fromUTI Bank.

The order is for a minimum of 300 1062ix advanced-function ATMs, including ATM site preparation on a turnkey contract basis, and is to be completed by June 2003.

One of India's first private banks, UTI Bank has the second largest ATM network in the country with 351 ATMs as of June 2001.

Diebold HMA has 46 offices and supports 62 locations. Together with its group companies India Switch Company and HMA STARware Limited, it has one of the largest direct service infrastructures in India. The company has set up an ATM display and software solutions center in Chennai.
