Diebold delivers customized ATM solution for Wash. CU

Diebold Inc. is delivering customized ATMs designed to complement the contemporary environment of a new Lacamas Community Credit Union branch in Vancouver, Wash. The CU is acquiring five deposit automation-enabled Opteva ATMs, including three compact ATM stations that reflect the open feel of the facility.  

At the concierge-style branch, members can complete envelope-free cash and check deposits, as well as traditional ATM transactions. For more advanced needs, Lacamas' personnel can assist directly.

"Our open, interactive branch concept allows members to complete convenient transactions on their own — right inside the branch, said Kathleen Romane, president and CEO of LCCU. At the same time, our staff will be available to assist with those self-service transactions and to also work one-on-one with members to review their financial goals and complete more advanced transactions." 

The Lacamas ATMs are equipped Diebold anti-skimming card readers and feature EMV capability.

"Members will enjoy rapid, self-service experiences and more personalized interactions with the credit union," said  said Mychal D. Kempt, vice president of North America operations at Diebold. "And Lacamas will migrate more routine transactions to the ATM and gain additional opportunities to cross-sell financial services."
