NORTH CANTON - Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) and Stratus Technologies, Inc. have entered into a value-added reseller agreement. Under terms of the agreement, Diebold becomes a reseller of ftServer systems, a line of Intel processor-based, fault-tolerant servers.
According to a news release, Diebold also deployed four ftServer 3300 systems in its own data center to support its Microsoft Windows-based transaction processing solution.
According to the release, the Stratus ftServer family is the computer industry's first line of 1-to 4-way SMP fault-tolerant Intel processor-based servers for Microsoft Windows Advanced Server computing environments. The line soon will support Windows Server 2003, which contains features and functionality specific to fault-tolerant computing.
Diebold is also a reseller of Mosaic Software's Postilion ATM driving and switching software. (See related story Diebold becomes reseller of Mosaic's Postilion)
