Deutsche Postbank AG, one of Germany's largest retail banks, has partnered with NCR Corp. to modernize its bank branch network with 500 intelligent deposit ATMs and consulting kiosks.
Postbank will deploy NCR SelfServTM 32 and NCR SelfServTM 34 ATMs, as well as NCR SelfServTM 85 kiosks and NCR account service terminals, according to a press release.
The touch screen kiosks will offer several completely new services to customers, including information on product offers and finance trends and access to savings and credit accounts. Additionally, customers will be able to calculate loan rates on the spot and make appointments with bank managers, NCR said.
The new resources will be available 24/7 across many Postbank locations, and the FI has long-term plans to roll out the technology across all of its 1,100 branches.
"The new generation of NCR solutions significantly improve[s] our service provision as it gives customers more flexibility and the freedom to choose which transactions they want to conduct themselves and which they prefer direct assistance with," Kai Schlueter, Postbank COO of self-service and retail banking.
