HAMPSHIRE, England - A new banknote sorter from De La Rue has been designed for low- to medium-volume users. The latest release, known as Kalebra, is able to verify banknote authenticity and sort notes according to currency, denomination, issue, fitness and orientation.
According to a news release, Kalebra also can simultaneously authenticate and sort up to 20 banknotes per second.
Kalebra relies on a secured-document-analysis detector architecture that provides full-width banknote scanning, so operators can sort banknotes into four different pockets and specify which notes are sent to each pocket.
