Cyber-security solution assumes malware is already there

Australian data security solution provider Wontok Inc., has added to its range of malware prevention for online financial transactions and remote endpoints. Wontok SafeCentral ATM is designed to prevent advanced threats and other forms of malware from executing.

Wontok data security solutions are built with the assumption that malware is already inside the network or machine, the company said in a news release. Therefore, its SafeCentral platform provides a containerized environment to make each transaction safe.

Because SafeCentral operates deep within the operating system, it effectively creates a barricade against advanced threats, banking Trojans, botnets, zero-day exploits, and other memory and data stealing malware, rendering it inoperable, the release said. The software can be used in conjunction with current security solutions.

Wontok CEO Adam Tegg said the company's goal is "to restore trust in online communications and commerce conducted around the world — especially during a time when consumer data breaches globally have reached an all-time high."
