DAYTON, Ohio - Illinois-based Baxter Credit Union is among the first credit unions in the U.S. to utilize NCR Corporation's (NYSE: NCR) imaged-based "No Envelope" Deposit technology for automated teller machines. Beyond faster processing, this function provides a digital image of deposited checks directly on the customer's ATM receipt.
According to a July 8 release, Baxter Credit Union is rolling out nine NCR ATMs with the new APTRA Edge platform. One of these ATMs will be the premium Personas 78 unit with the new image-based deposit functionality, taking advantage of the recent certification of this feature by eFunds.
NCR's "No Envelope" Deposit component will be available at Baxter's Vernon Hills main office, outside of Chicago. eFunds will provide transaction processing on all of the units, leveraging NCR's Microsoft Windows-driven APTRAEdge Remote Host Configurability feature for quicker response to service requests and inquiries.
eFunds has certified NCR's APTRA Edge multivendor software and "No Envelope" Deposit technology for use by any eFunds customer. eFunds currently manages more than 17,000 ATMs across the United States, making it one of the largest processors in the country.
