Credit union instantly issues flat-panel debit cards

CHESTERFIELD, Mo. — First Community Credit Union has introduced unembossed, flat-panel debit cards that will be issued immediately to members when they open personal checking accounts.
According to a news release, by partnering with Dynamic Card Solutions, developer of instant-issuance and PIN-selection solutions, First Community is one of the first credit unions in the state to implement such a program.The credit union is rolling out the technology to its 25 locations.
"First Community was among the first credit unions to offer debit cards back in the early '90s," said president Glenn Barks of First Community. "Implementing a flat-panel, unembossed debit card that can be issued and used immediately was an easy choice for us as we continue to be a progressive leader in the industry. After reviewing multiple applications, we chose DCS' card issuing technology because of its level of sophistication and ease-of-use."
