Cord Financial Services expands ATM, merchant services footprint

March 3, 2014

Full-service ATM provider Cord Financial Services has announced the expansion of its business on two fronts: The company recently completed the acquisition of the ATM portfolio of Com-Tech Resources Inc., and also launched a new merchant services division in Arlington, Texas.

With the ATM portfolio purchase from Tyler, Texas-based Com-Tech, Cord gains additional full-service placement ATMs in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana, the company said in a news release. This is Cord's eighth acquisition since starting business in 2001.

"We are very excited [about] the opportunity to service and build a long-term relationship with the Com-Tech customers," said general manager Kenneth Gilbert. "This investment is a commitment by the company to continue to strengthen Cord in our industry."

Cord said its Arlington merchant services will offer a suite of solutions designed to help customers increase business revenues, lower the overall cost of acceptance and increase market share. The new division also will offer capital funding solutions and payroll processing for businesses of all sizes.

"Our decision to open a field sales office in Arlington gives us a distinct advantage in the payments marketplace," Gilbert said. "Our sales model is based on local representation and relationship management … and [we] look forward to developing long-term relationships within the community."
