January 14, 2010

Continental Prison Systems Inc., dba EZ Card & Kiosk,is scheduled to install its EZ Technology lineup in the Davis County (Utah) Jail next month.

According to a news release, the EZ Technology line-up, which will eventually is expecte to help the Davis County Jail become "cashless," represents the first facility using the EZ itegrated Web services platform.

The EZ platform automatically populates a jail's inmate accounting system when an inmate is booked into the facility via the EZ Booking kiosk. This integrated platform eliminates user errors and reduces staff time through the entire life-of-the-inmate from booking through their release.

The 600-bed Davis County Jail will start off with four kiosks, with plans to add more as needed. One will be used for EZ Booking and EZ Bail in the booking room area; two will be for EZ Money Load in the lobby area, allowing friends and family to place money into the inmate's trust account; and one will be for the county's EZ Work Release program, allowing work release payments via the kiosk.
