May 29, 2003

NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- Concord EFS is the first transaction processor to certify Diebold, Incorporated's (NYSE: DBD) Agilis 91x software on Diebold's new Opteva line of ATMs.

Concord owns and operates Star, the nation's largest ATM network, and is the largest ATM processor in the United States, driving 96,500 terminals.

Diebold introduced the Opteva line in March. (See related story Diebold intros Opteva, its 1st new line of ATMs in 15 years) Diebold announced in April that Agilis 91x was certified to work with Concord's ATM processing platform on Diebold's ix Series of ATMs. NYCE Corporation and Mosaic Software have also certified Agilis 91x for Diebold's ix Series.

Agilis 91x is a prepackaged Microsoft Windows-based application for use in ATMs that communicate to networks using the Diebold 911/912 message format. According to a news release, Agilis is fully backward compatible with existing states and screens. It supports adding advanced-function transactions and enhanced features with open technology.
