NORWOOD, Mass. and PALM DESERT, Calif. -- e-ClassicSystems, Inc., the developer of the ATM Manager Pro® ATM business management system, and Palm Desert National Bank (PDNB), a leading vault cash provider, have formed a partnership in an effort to improve the electronic communication among the bank, its ISO customers and armored carriers.
According to a news release, the two companies have created an interface between Palm Desert's in-house Trakker cash management system and ATM Manager Pro to electronically accept cash orders and return cash delivery information to joint customers.
As part of the agreement, PDNB will acquire the ATM Manager Pro software to track customer and ATM events and improve billing procedures, as well as maintain complete asset information for ISO sponsorship.
The companies also plan to develop a small database application to track cash at an armored carrier office. The application will electronically accept orders from Palm Desert, reconcile cash load information by terminal and provide settlement information on the vault account, according to the release.
Thomas F. Meurer, president of e-ClassicSystems, said in the release, "The partnership will help eliminate the needless paperwork still prevalent in the cash ordering and reconciliation process. It will eliminate manual entries, provide greater controls during the cash cycle, and ultimately speed reconciliation and tracking to lower the cost of cash."
"An ISO will be able to open an event in ATM Manager Pro and have it electronically transmitted to PDNB for action," said Sandra Hartfield, president and chief executive of PDNB's Electronic Banking Division. "Our customers will be able to track PDNB's progress on the event through its completion. The interface between our two systems will provide our customers with significant improvements in productivity and information availability."
PDNB provides vault cash and other cash services to more than 6,000 ATMs, while e-ClassicSystems' ATM Manager Pro databases manage more than 85,000 ATMs worldwide.
"The ability to communicate electronically with Palm Desert will improve process flow and decrease cycle time for inquiries and requests that will ultimately result in better availability for our terminals," said Dale Dentlinger, director of E*Trade Access, a customer of both companies.
Ted Capaldi, executive vice president of Shields Business Solutions, said that his company, an armored carrier for PDNB, already communicates electronically with PDNB via ATM Manager Pro software. "The efficiencies gained allow us to handle more terminals with greater accuracy. ATM Manager Pro reduces time and effort spent communicating balance and delivery information to all relevant parties."
