Within the past week, financial technology solutions provider Fiserv Inc. has announced the implementation of its DNA account processing platform on behalf of three new customers: First Federal of Bucks County of Bristol, Pa.; First National Community Bank of Dunmore, Pa.; and United Community Bank of Lawrenceburg, Ind.
The DNA platform was developed by Open Solutions, now a part of Fiserv, and is the first open, relationship-centered core banking platform built for global collaboration.
The platform's relational data model allows an FI to view complete customer profiles by person, product or account. Real-time account updates across all channels allow customers to obtain up-to-the-minute balance and transaction data at the ATM, over the phone, from a computer, or on a mobile device.
"DNA is both flexible and easy to use, but most importantly, the platform's customer-centric, real-time data model is helping us do what we do best: deliver superior service every day across all channels," said Karen Shinn, senior vice president of deposit operations and IT at First Federal, an FI with $678 million in assets.
Paul Dunda, senior vice president of information services at FNCB, an FI with $939 million in assets, said thatDNA would allow the bank to provide a unified customer experience.
"Plus, with DNA, we can use innovative tools like DNAcreator and DNAappstore to adapt to the evolving needs of our customers, and provide a personal and technologically advanced experience for years to come."
Mike McLaughlin, senior vice president of operations at UCB, a $523 million institution, was similarly impressed by the DNA platform.
"The open architecture of DNA will help United Community Bank continue our growth and allow us to offer customers new products and technologies with ease."
The open, .NET architecture of DNA means that users can easily enhance the solution with applications from Fiserv and other third-party partners.
They can also use the DNAcreator development toolkit to create and sell custom core extensions called DNAapps to other financial institutions via the DNAappstore.
