Citigroup to halt ATM services in Russia

The Russian subsidiary of Citigroup Inc. will halt services for its ATMs in the country by the end of 2023. The bank has been gradually winding down its Russian services due to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine, according to a report by Reuters.

Last summer, Citigroup announced it would close its Russian division, with an expected write off of around $170 million.

At the end of 2022, Uralsib, a Russian bank, said it had acquired Citibank's portfolio of consumer loans.
