CHICAGO -- Citicorp Electronic Financial Services (Citicorp EFS) has joined Allpoint, a national surcharge-free ATM network, to provide surcharge-free ATM access for users of its payroll debit cards.
Access to the 25,000 Allpoint ATMs nationwide, which are owned and/or managed by Cardtronics and E*Trade Access, is now available to select Citicorp EFS customers and their employees, according to a news release. Other Citicorp EFS users will be added later.
"Joining with Allpoint helps make our payroll card a more convenient and inexpensive solution for employees nationally," said Mark MacKenzie, president of Citicorp EFS, in the release.
Two other payroll card providers, Financial Stored Value Payment Systems (FSV) and Skylight Financial, are members of Allpoint.
Citicorp EFS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Citigroup, markets payroll cards under private label branding as well as under the name "Citibank Payroll Card."
According to the release, Citicorp EFS debit cards are used to distribute government benefits, Social Security and other federal payments, employee payroll, consumer incentives and premiums, relocation assistance, and emergency support payments, among other uses.
Citicorp EFS processes more than 50 million transactions a month.
