Citibank banks on the size of its ATM network

Citibank is touting the size of its ATM network in an email to current and former customers. Officials of the New York-based bank wrote in an email message that customers can enjoy banking at over 29,000 ATMs without being charged a surcharge fee.

Citibank operates more than 3,200 ATMs in its over 1,000 branches, and Citibank-branded ATMs are located in nearly 6,000 7-Eleven stores. Cardtronics Inc., the world's largest independent ATM deployer (IAD), owns the ATMs deployed in 7-Eleven stores.

In addition, Citibank is part of the MoneyPass surcharge-free ATM network that operates more than 17,000 ATMs. Bank customers also have surcharge-free access at more than 900 ATMs deployed in Publix Super Markets.
