Chicago bank renews First Data contract

OMAHA, Neb. - Amalgamated Bank of Chicago renewed its deal with First Data Corp. for card-processing and statement-production services, and mailing and plastics personalization. The bank also renewed its merchant-processing agreement with First Data.

"We believe that our focus on providing quality service and a low interest-rate credit card to our customers is enhanced by continuing to partner with First Data for our technology and processing needs," said Robert Wrobel, Amalgamated Bank's president and chief executive.

Financial terms of the long-term renewal were not disclosed.
