CashDash, Cardtronics UK roll out cardless currency exchange at Cashzone ATMs

August 18, 2017

CashDash, a provider of multicurrency digital wallet technology, and independent ATM operator Cardtronics UK have announced their integration of Cash2Go foreign exchange functionality and cardless cash withdrawal at 1,000 Cashzone ATMs in London.

CashDash, an Israeli startup founded in 2015, allows travelers to buy foreign currency at attractive rates at any time and from anywhere in the world, a press release said.

Cash2Go funds are stored in an e-wallet and can later be withdrawn in local currency at Cashzone ATMs — free of charge and without the use of a bankcard.

"This is a brand new service that seeks to disrupt the existing foreign exchange market," CashDash CEO Arik Shtilman said in the release. "It will enable travelers to use their mobile devices as a virtual currency booth and significantly reduce the cost of buying and selling foreign exchange."

Initially, CashDash is partnering with Cardtronics UK to provide Cash2Go in London only. Additional Cardtronics UK ATMs outside of London will add the feature in coming months, the release said.

"Our summer roll-out of the CashDash Cash2Go functionality at 1,000 Cashzone ATMs is a first in the U.K. market," said Paul Taylor, director of new product and innovation at Cardtronics UK. "This is a great example of Cardtronics supporting innovative companies like CashDash through our established network and infrastructure, which enables customers to easily convert their digital funds to cash."
