Cash Connect, a South African provider of secure cash management and payment solutions, has launched a new self-service bulk deposit acceptor device for retail distribution centers.
The solution allows bulk note and coin deposits to be processed quickly — at up to 800 notes and 800 coins per minute — reducing the amount of time depositors spend in service queues, and enables a speedy reconciliation and bank deposit process for cashiers, a press release said.
The bulk deposit ATM not only eliminates much of the hassle associated with traditional cash handling methods, but also enhances existing safety and security measures, according to Cash Connect. The company said its machine is guaranteed to decrease bank fees associated with cash processing, while increasing cash flow with same-day settlements.
The BDA provides an automated alternative proven to be four to six times faster than manual counting and verification and even eliminates the need for a manually created deposit slip, the release said.
"Automated cash management eliminates the need for manual paperwork and reconciliations, and drastically reduces incidences of human error," said Richard Phillips, joint CEO of Cash Connect Management Solutions.
The BDA cash vault is built to SABS Category 4 standards and features secure biometric identification that reinforces accountability and eliminates cash shrinkage, the company said.
The BDA's through-the-wall configuration offers a minimal footprint; a 17-inch touch screen helps to streamline self-service deposits for depositors, drivers, cashiers and other users.
The company provides on-site training, 24/7 call center support, on-site technical assistance, and access to an online portal where customers can view their deposits, recons and transaction history, and download financial reports.
Cash Connect is the nation's premier and longest standing vault cash and logistics provider to the ATM industry and now allows you to generate growing new revenue streams with Smart Safes, Recyclers and Kiosks.
