Cardtronics U.K., operator of Cashzone ATMs, has announced the expansion of its ATM services arrangement with John Lewis and Waitrose stores. The long-term agreement triples the number of Cashzone ATMs hosted at John Lewis and Waitrose retail sites, according to a press release.
The newly acquired sites will include internal, through-the-wall and external kiosk ATMs at various locations.
"Waitrose and John Lewis are two of the leading retailers in the U.K. market," said Jonathan Simpson-Dent, managing director of Cardtronics Europe. "The expansion and diversification of Cardtronics U.K.'s estate will provide increased access to on-site cash machines for both retailers and their customers."
"We chose Cardtronics as our preferred partner for their expertise in this area, which helps us ensure we always offer our customers excellent service," said Stephen Maloney, program manager for John Lewis financial services.
Installation of Cashzone ATMs by Cardtronics U.K. commenced in January and will continue through 2015. Existing ATMs at John Lewis and Waitrose retail will retain their current branding until their replacement with Cashzone ATMs, the release said.
Cardtronics U.K. is part of Cardtronics Inc., a global ATM services provider.
