Cardtronics places order for 55 ProCash 1500 ATMs

PADERBORN, Germany - Cardtronics, the largest independent owner/operator of ATMs in the United States, has placed its first order with Wincor Nixdorf for 55 ProCash 1500 ATMs, according to a news release.

Most of the Wincor Nixdorf units on order will be installed in Target retail stores.

Cardtronics acquired the Target portfolio with the purchase of E*TRADE Access' ATM portfolio in June 2004. The acquisition brought the number of ATMs Cardtronics owns and/or manages to more than 25,000 from 12,000.
