Cardtronics extends ATM partnership with Fifth Third Bank to Carolinas

Fifth Third Bank entered a partnership with Cardtronics to rebrand 139 ATMs located in CVS pharmacies and other retailer stores in the Carolinas. 

The Fifth Third Bank brand is located on ATMs in 92 ATMs and 47 locations of a nationally known convenience store chain in Greenville, South Carolina and Asheville, Charlotte and the Research Triangle section of North Carolina. The convenience store chain was not named in a company release from the bank. 

The new branding agreement extends the Fifth Third relationship with Cardtronics from four to six states and includes more than 1,200 ATMs. 

"Cardtronics ATM branding and Allpoint programs are expedient and cost effective tools for financial institutions to fortify markets against increasing competition and to expand into attractive new growth markets," Carter Hunt, managing director, North America at Cardtronics, said in a company release. "Fifth Third Bank has clearly realized and benefitted from these offerings through our prior market partnerships and the expansion to the Carolinas will further enhance Fifth Third's strategy."
