Cardtronics Inc. has announced a long-term agreement with Haggen, a West Coast grocery store chain, a company press release said.

According to the agreement, Cardtronics will install and operate 50 ATMs in Haggen stores located in Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona and Nevada, making it the chain's largest ATM services provider. Cardtronics also holds expansion rights for future Haggen locations.

Haggen stores also will participate in the Allpoint Network, Cardtronics' surcharge-free ATM network.

"As Haggen transitions from its Northwestern regional roots to a larger presence along the West Coast, it's important for us to provide a consistent, quality experience across both our new and legacy locations," said Bill Shaner, Haggen CEO for the Pacific Southwest. "A relationship with Cardtronics for ATM services will play an important role in helping us provide our customers with convenient access to cash."

David Dove, president of the North American business group at Cardtronics, said that the Haggen locations will join Cardtronics' portfolio of bank-brandable ATMs.
