San Gabriel Valley Tribune: A judge threw out a lawsuit June 17 against 28 California liquor store owners accused of failing to post ATM fees at their cash register. Pomona Superior Court Judge Daniel Buckley dismissed it because he said the attorney who filed the claim should have filed a separate lawsuit in each case.
The 28 defendants were part of a suit against 68 liquor-store owners in the area who, the plaintiff said, failed to follow a state law requiring that they provide a written notice at the point-of-sale to notify customers that they would be charged a fee to use ATM cards.
