Brunei bank taps Euronet for ATM-switch changeover

The ITM Payment Hub solution allows Brunei-based Perbadanan TAIB to manage a host of transaction functions from a single platform.

With the support of Euronet Software Solutions, a division of payments provider Euronet Worldwide Inc., Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei Bank has replaced its former ATM-switch system with the Euronet ITM Payment Hub solution. The changeover was completed within less than four months, a Euronet press release said.

ITM allows Perbadanan TAIB to manage a host of transaction functions — from preparation, authentication and authorization to clearing, settlement and reporting — from a single software package, Euronet said.

According to Cindy Ashcraft, vice president of Euronet Worldwide and managing director for Euronet Software Solutions, the payment hub technology is the same as that used by Euronet in its own data centers.

"Euronet has a unique understanding of the real-world needs of clients like Perbadanan TAIB," Ashcraft said. "As a result, we're able to bring our clients truly innovative solutions, even when the timeframe is very demanding, as it was in this instance."
