Banks reconsider ATM fees

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: Many banking and nonbanking institutions in the United States are adopting a free-use attitude when it comes to their ATMs. PNC Bank is one of many considering fee-less ATM transactions for non-bank members. The bank recently adopted the policy in Washington, D.C., and does not charge fees to customers using another bank's ATM. The bank also reimburses its customers charged by another bank for using its ATM.
