Euronet Software Solutions, a division of e-payments provider Euronet Worldwide Inc., has announced that Bank South Pacific will retain existing Euronet ITM Payment Hubs in Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands following the acquisition of Westpac Bank operations in those locations.

The BSP acquisition is part of the FI's regional growth strategy to expand its presence across the Pacific. Additionally, BSP has taken steps to acquire Westpac operations in the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, pending regulatory approval.

"BSP has the largest fleet of POS and ATM devices in the Pacific Islands," said Cindy Ashcraft, VP of Euronet Worldwide and managing director of Euronet Software Solutions. "As such, the ability to provide BSP with a solution that securely, accurately and efficiently serves this large, geographically dispersed territory is paramount. We're honored that BSP has chosen to continue with ITM. We look forward to working with BSP, ensuring a smooth transition as ITM is integrated with their other regional operational assets."
