BMO Bank of Montreal has announced plans to add approximately 250 cash-only ATMs to its network across Quebec. As many as 150 will be installed in the greater Montreal area, with 25 added in the greater Quebec City area. Most of the new ATMs will be installed in 2012 or early 2013, the bank said in a news release.
"BMO is committed to providing a great customer experience and make it easier for our customers to manage their day-to-day finances, whether it be in branch, online or on the go," said Francois Hudon, senior VP of the Quebec division at BMO Bank of Montreal. "This is a significant expansion of our existing ATM network."
Hudon said the new ATMs were being installed mainly in IGA stores across Quebec, as well as in pharmacies, service stations and post-secondary school campuses. BMO debit and credit card customers will be able to use the new machines without incurring surcharges or month-end Interac fees.
