Bank of Botetourt opts for Fiserv account processing

Bank of Botetourt, a $320 million FI in Buchanan, Va., will implement the Precision bank account processing platform from financial services technology provider Fiserv Inc. The bank will run a number of Fiserv customer-facing software solutions on the platform, enabling online banking, bill pay, mobile banking, social payments and remote deposit capture.

Services selected by the bank include the Accel debit payments network, AML Manager, CheckFree RXP, Business Online and Retail Online for online banking, Risk Office for card services, Statement Advantage and Teller Source Capture for check image capture. The bank will continue to use EFT solutions for debit processing.

For SMB customers, the bank selected commercial offerings that include WireXchange for wire transfers and Merchant Source Capture for image check capture.

"The Precision platform and Fiserv integration from multiple access points will help us virtually eliminate data entry errors and free up staff time to serve customers," said Andrew Shotwell, senior vice president of operations at Bank of Botetourt.

"Our move to outsourced processing will enable us to move additional people from the back office to the front line so our organization can focus on the high-quality services and support that our customers want and deserve."
