Bangladesh Bank orders banks to keep ATMs stocked with cash during election

The Bangladesh Bank, the central bank of Bangladesh, has ordered banks to keep sufficient cash stocked in ATMS during the 11th general election on Dec. 30, since all banks in the country will be closing on that date, according to a report by Dhaka Tribune.

The central bank also ordered all banks to maintain 24-hour availability of ATMs and keep point-of-sale services and two-factor authentication on online payment gateways open, according to the report.
