Banco Popular, the largest bank in Puerto Rico, is partnering with Diebold Nixdorf to pilot advanced predictive maintenance analytics.
In a press release, Diebold Nixdorf said the analytics program gives Banco Popular a complete view of its self-service channel and improve ATM uptime by anticipating maintenance needs.
"Banco Popular realizes the importance of financial institutions making data-driven decisions," said Rachid Molinary, senior vice president of the bank's digital strategy division. "With Diebold Nixdorf's expertise in advanced analytics, we are collaboratively working to enhance our operations and migrate transactions from the teller lines to the self-service channel."
Near real-time collection of data from the self-service channel allows Banco Popular to better understand the health of its self-service channel and predict the maintenance needs of individual devices, the release said.
Additionally, data aggregated from the self-service device and the bank's other channels, will provide a 360-degree view of the user experience, helping the bank to gauge the effectiveness of marketing and branch transformation initiatives.
"Banco Popular continues to be an important innovation partner for us." said Richard Harris, Diebold Nixdorf vice president of design and new technology incubation. "Their use of our advanced analytics capabilities is just one proof point that demonstrates how we can solve real business needs for our customers through collaborative innovation."
As a global technology leader and innovative services provider, Diebold Nixdorf delivers the solutions that enable financial institutions to improve efficiencies, protect assets and better serve consumers.
