BAI RD: Norkom ranked among world's top 100 financial technology providers

Norkom Technologies, a provider of financial crime and compliance software solutions for financial services institutions, made the FinTech 100 list of top financial technology providers in the world for the second consecutive year.

According to a news release issued by Norkcom, Norkom's revenue growth in 2008 moved the company from 97th on the FinTech list in 2007 to 88th position this year. Norkcom's 2008 revenue totaled $67.2 million.

The FinTech 100, published by American Banker and IDC Financial Insights, recognizes the leading 100 global technology and service providers that derive more than one-third of their revenue from the financial services industry. Companies that made the list were announced last week in Boston, in conjunction with the BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo.

"Being ranked for the second consecutive year in the FinTech 100 is a significant achievement, but particularly more so given the upheaval in the financial services industry over the last year or so," said Paul Kerley, Norkom's chief executive. "This ranking is a reflection of the great effort and commitment from the professionals at Norkom, who consistently strive to enhance our positioning in the marketplace by adding new clients, strengthening our existing client relationships and entering new world markets to create a truly global financial crime and compliance provider."
