TORONTO -- AutoBranch Technologies Inc. will provide Dynamic Branding financial services over AutoBranch-enabled ATMs for the Taiwanese Canadian Toronto Credit Union (TCU). The Toronto-based credit union is the first financial institution to use the multilingual capabilities of ATMs equipped with AutoBranch software, which allows delivery of financial services on ATMs in any language the institution chooses to offer.
The AutoBranch network, which includes six machines at Rogers Video stores and two other locations in Toronto, allows multiple financial institutions to support their brand and deliver customized products and services to their clients.
According to a news release, when a TCU member inserts his card into an ATM connected to the AutoBranch network, Dynamic Branding technology will "transform" it into a TCU ATM with the same screens and transactions offered at TCU-owned ATMs. Most importantly for this credit union, transactions will be offered in their members' preferred language, Chinese.
"This is an exciting opportunity for us to better serve our members," said David Wong,
chairman of the board of the Taiwanese Canadian Toronto Credit Union. "It makes it much
easier to reach out to the large Taiwanese community in Toronto, and even beyond. We have
finally found a way to build our brand and serve all of our members by providing convenient
ATM access in Chinese. Building our own advanced ATM network to cover our whole
market area would have been very slow, and much too expensive."
John Sinton, president and chief executive officer of AutoBranch. "Toronto is the most multi-cultural city in the world, and it's a privilege to be working with a financial institution serving one of the largest Chinese-language communities on the continent."
TCU cardholders will get access to Chinese-language services on the AutoBranch network by the end of August.
