Yahoo! Finance: Australia's Macquarie Bank Ltd. is expected to buy more than 7,000 ATMs from the country's major banks to grab a foothold in the payments system. Macquarie has reportedly approached Australia's four largest banks about their portfolios. In July, Macquarie bought Bank of Queensland Ltd.'s ATM solutions network, the third-largest supplier of cash machines in the country with more than 2,400 ATMs, for AUS $64 million (U.S. $47 million).
