Australian ATM techs go on strike

Australian Broadcasting Corp.: Computer technicians responsible for servicing most of Australia's ATMs have initiated a week-long strike. The Australian Services Union said two-thirds of the 150 technicians employed by National Cash Register were striking over a pay claim. "Where you've got a strike that goes on for a week, it's inevitable that there will be ATMs out of action around the country," union spokeswoman Sally McManus said.
